Pilgrims in Tuscany and Liguria

Discover the beautiful churches and culture of Liguria and Tuscany.

Day 1: Arrival on the Versilia Coast – Dinner and overnight stay

Day 2: HToday you will visit the city of Genoa with its imposing Romanesque Cathedral of San Lorenzo. In the afternoon, you will go to the Basilica of San Salvatore dei Fieschi, one of the most interesting examples of Ligurian Romanesque-Gothic style. At the end of your excursion, a stop in Chiavari.

Day 3: With your coach, you will reach Camogli, then by boat you will go to San Fruttuoso where there is a wonderful Benedictine Abbey. The San Fruttuoso bay is also well-known for the “Christ of the Abyss”, a statue which lies on the seabed. From here, you will take the boat again to Portofino, and then on to Santa Margherita.

Day 4: In the morning, visit of Florence, famous worldwide for its artistic treasures. In the afternoon, visit of the Church of San Miniato a Monte, an example of Tuscan Romanesque Architecture. Then your tour continues to Galluzzo, where you can visit the famous Certosa accompanied by a resident monk.

Day 5: After breakfast, you will leave for Lucca, the town with one hundred churches. In the Cathedral of San Martino, you will be enchanted by the Volto Santo (Holy Face). In the afternoon, visit of Torre del Lago Puccini where you will see the House of the great Composer Giacomo Puccini. Dinner in a typical Restaurant on the Via Francigena.

Day 6: Visit of Pisa. In the afternoon you will go to Certosa of Pisa, one of the most imposing monasteries of Tuscany.

The gardens of Tuscany

Tuscany is famous for its wide olive groves, vineyards and typical cypresses, but not only! Wonderful palaces and gardens recalling old times are waiting for you. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to visit Florence, Pisa and Lucca, ravishing open air museums.

Day 1: Arrival in the Hotel – Dinner and Overnight

Day 2: Today you will enjoy a full day in Florence. In the morning, with a local guide, you will be delighted by the attractions of the city, such as the Cathedral, the Baptistry Piazza della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio. Then, a walk in the Boboli Garden, an example of gardens of Renaissance.

Day 3: Today you will experience the Botanical Garden of Pisa, where botanical studies started in 1543. After lunch , accompanied by a local guide, you will discover the beautiful squares of the town and in particular the Square of Miracles.

Day 4: Visit of Lucca in the morning. In the afternoon you will be taken to discover two gardens of wonderful villas in Lucca area. Firstly, Villa Reale, with its flourishing garden, and then Villa Grabau, very important for its orangery and lemon grove.

Day 5: Today you will visit the historical Garzoni Garden, one of the most beautiful gardens in Italy, which represents the equilibrium between the geometry of Renaissance and the sensation of Baroque. Lunch in a Fattoria. In the afternoon tour of the Giardino degli Agrumi in Pescia, which holds more than 200 types of citrus from all over the world.

Cultural Tour in the Heart of Italy

Day 5: Today you will travel to Perugia, famous for its University, the Fine Arts Academy and the different museums. In the afternoon, your tour continues to Assisi, where Saint Francis was born.

Tuscany and Handicrafts

Tuscany is not only renowned for its food specialties and good wine, in fact, on this tour you will have the opportunity to learn about ancient crafts.

Day 1:Arrival in the Hotel – Dinner and Overnight stay

Day 2: Visit of Carrara, world famous for its marble. Visit of a marble sawmill. Then you will go to Pietrasanta, which is famous worldwide for sculpture, to visit a carving workshop.

Day 3: After breakfast with our Tour Escort, you will go to Lucca, the town of one hundred churches and the imposing medieval walls. Then in the Lucca area, you will visit a tobacco factory, where Tuscan cigars are produced. In the afternoon you will continue to Viareggio, known for its Carnival. There you will visit the Carnival Museum and experience how Carnival floats are created.

Day 4: Volterra, the Etruscan town. Today you will go to Volterra, where many Etruscan ruins are still visible. Here, you will visit an Alabaster workshop. In the afternoon, San Gimignano, where you will have enjoy wine tasting on a typical Fattoria.

Maremma and the Giglio Isle

Day 4: Today you will go to Porto Santo Stefano, from where you will depart for the Giglio Isle. On the Isle, you will be delighted by the wonderful corners and views.

Rolling hills and steep coasts

Day 2: Today you’ll enjoy a fantastic day in the Cinque Terre, a rugged portion of coast on the Ligurian Riviera. Five picturesque and colourful towns that you will visit by train, by boat and on foot. Here you walk along the Via dell’Amore between Riomaggiore and Manarola. The return will be done by boat from Portovenere to La Spezia.

Day 3: A day for discovering Genua, famous for its traditions as a seaport. Then by coach, you will continue to Rapallo, where you take a boat to Portofino.

Day 4: You will leave from your hotel with a tour escort and you will go to Piombino, where the ferry to the Elba Isle awaits you. On the Isle you will be enraptured by the wonderful landscapes and the historical traces.

A land of famous artists

Discover Tuscany on the traces of Puccini, Da Vinci, Brunelleschi, Michelangelo and Botticelli

Day 1: Arrival on the Versilia Coast – Welcome Drink – Dinner and overnight stay

Day 2: Lucca. During your guided tour you will visit the important locations where the composer Giacomo Puccini lived and worked. After a break at the Cafè de Simo, you will travel, by coach, to Torre del Lago, where you will visit Puccini’s House and the wonderful Theatre on the lake. Then you will reach the wonderful sea-front promenade of Viareggio.

Day 3: Vinci. Today you will travel to Vinci, birthplace of the famous inventor Leonardo da Vinci. Here, you will visit his house and the Museum. In the afternoon, you have the opportunity to visit Pisa, where Leonardo, as an Engineer, studied the course of the Arno River.

Day 4: Florence. Experience the capital of Tuscany through the works of Brunelleschi, Michelangelo and Botticelli. In the afternoon you will enjoy a visit of the Uffizi Museum, where many works of Botticelli may be admired.
